The Lanzeros Mayariceros
Lanzeros Mayariceros was created by Jesus Torres (Chucho), integrant of the family Munenes in the municipality of Mayarí of the county of Holguin in Cuba. It was begun on or about in the year 1912. This family took it as amusement, it is considered a dance and courtship, a ballroom dancing.
The music that accompanies to Lanzeros Mayariceros was interpreted by the own family using trumpets, clarinets, drums, saxophones and others: it was performed the weekends and in family parties, being danced in the patios of their houses and in the sport field of Mayarí, county of Holguin. It stopped to be danced between 1933 and 1934.
